El restaurante Blacklock es una versión moderna de la gran parrillada británica. Establecido en lo que anteriormente solía ser un burdel, este restaurante utiliza la mejor carne del país, la cual es obtenida del galardonado carnicero y productor de Cornwall, Philip Warren. Las chuletas son cocinadas de manera simple sobre una verdadera parrilla de carbón y con la ayuda de utensilios antiguos de hierro Blacklock, y son servidas junto con cocteles de 5 GBP y vino de barril en la atmósfera subterránea de esta Meca de las chuletas. Los domingos se sirve Sunday Roast (platillo típico de la cocina británica relacionado con la celebración de los domingos), casi tan bueno como el de mamá. El servicio es estupendo, la carne esta rica a excepción de las chuletas de cerdo que para mi gusto estaba demasiado hechas y se quedaron secas. Los camareros y el ambiente genial. La tarta de queso rica pero empacha, recomiendo compartir.

Tuvimos la suerte de que entre el personal estuviese Andrea, una española oscense que derrochó atención con nosotros e hizo de la cena de cumpleaños un rato muy, muy agradable. El resto del personal también muy bien

Local muy ruidoso y poco iluminado. Teníamos una reserva para las 21,15 y llegamos 10 minutos antes y nos dijeron que teníamos que esperar que no era nuestra hora y fuimos a dar una vuelta. Volvimos a los 20 minutos y tuvimos que volver a esperar otros 20 porque en la mesa que estaba destinada para nosotros los inquilinos después de pagar se les diò por liar sus pitillitos. En fin, no repetiríamos.

Standards have been slipping from visit to visit. Third time in a row I leave expecting more. Meat was tepid at best, sides were mediocre and the bread pudding could have been a supermarket microwave desert. At £80-£100 a head for a decent 800g cut with a few sides, a modest bottle of wine and dessert, I don’t see the value in dinning with you anymore vs upmarket options. A shame as you used to be great value.

Overall disappointed. The food was average (a steak and burger), however the cheesecake is definitely worth it! Staff seemed like they wanted to be elsewhere, which killed the vibe.

A very nice experience and first time dining at Blacklock. The service was very friendly and prompt. The food quality was also excellent and the steak delicious. I believe larger steaks would have been better and the odd (non matching) plates on our table was an unusual novelty. I would go again to Blacklock, however, note that the meals sizes arent large (unless sharing) and the Soho restaurant was also very noisy.

Sunday Roast! - Exceptional Service by Federico My most favourite Sunday roast at blacklock, and while the food was fantastic, the highlight of our visit was the impeccable service provided by Federico. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel incredibly welcome with his warm and friendly demeanor. Federico is the definition of hospitality—polite, professional, and genuinely attentive. Throughout our meal, he ensured we were well looked after, checking in at just the right moments without ever being intrusive. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and his recommendations were spot on. It’s rare to come across someone who truly elevates the dining experience, but Federico did just that. His outstanding service will make your meal even more enjoyable. We will definitely be returning, not just for the delicious food but for the exceptional hospitality! Blacklock truly knows how to do a Sunday roast right. From the first bite to the last, everything was spot on, the meat was cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavor, complemented by crispy-yet-fluffy roast potatoes, rich gravy and all the classic trimmings. It was everything you’d hope for in a comforting Sunday feast. To top it off, the bread and butter pudding was absolutely delightful, warm, rich and indulgent, the kind of dessert that makes you want to linger at the table just a little longer. For drinks, we went with the Mindful Martini and the Spiced America-No mocktails. The Mindful Martini had all the elegance of a classic martini without the alcohol, while the Spiced America-No was bold and full of warming flavors, making it a perfect pairing for a hearty meal. All in all, Blacklock delivered on every front, fantastic food, well-crafted drinks and a great atmosphere. A must-visit for anyone craving a proper Sunday roast!
