At the Black Dog Bar and Grille, we try our absolute best of accommodate seating requests, though we cannot always guarantee them. If your interested reservation time is not available please feel free to give the restaurant a call at anytime at 860.928.0501 & we will try our hardest to fit you in!

Welcome to The Black Dog Bar & Grille! We pride ourselves on amazing food, good drinks & exceptional service.
Start off with with one of our signature appetizers and don’t forget to pair it with one of our tasty specialty cocktails, 16 draft beers or canned craft beers. Follow it with one of our juicy hamburgers, gourmet salads, sizzling steaks, seafood, chicken dinners or indulge in something from our 12 hour slow cooked BBQ pit. As always, the food and drinks never disappoint. Service was great. Our server Lily S went up and beyond great service for our party of 7.

Seated in room with no ambiance. Lacked expectationfor Valentines Day celebration. Real disappointment. Waitress rushed us through meal. Poor overall experience. Do not recommend.

The staff here is absolutely awesome! Very friendly & accommodating. I asked to move my seat and they did so without question. Our Server MK was GREAT! Now the food-we ordered burnt ends appetizer. It was DELICIOUS as was my BF's Filet Mignon. My Prime Rib was another story. Meat was was so cold, the garlic butter on top didnt even melt and had to return to kitchen. Came back not much better. The au jus [which is a KEY part of Prime Rib] was Terrible! Was cold and tasteless. They gave me another from kitchen. It's came out warmer but tasted like every meat they cook there, including the BBQ, watered down. I will definitely be returning but won't be ordering Prime Rib.

This has been our go to place to go out to eat. The food and service is always excellent. Staff is pleasant and quick to tend to diners needs or wants. The managers routinely check on us when eating to make sure everything is to our satisfaction. Well worth the extra money going out to eat.

It was a very busy night ! But out Waitress McKenna was on point ! Food came out pipping hot.

The food and service are always amazing at the black dog never disappoints make sure you get a reservation. They can get busy even though they don’t seem like they’re looking like that.
