At the Black Dog Bar and Grille, we try our absolute best of accommodate seating requests, though we cannot always guarantee them. If your interested reservation time is not available please feel free to give the restaurant a call at anytime at 860.928.0501 & we will try our hardest to fit you in!

Welcome to The Black Dog Bar & Grille! We pride ourselves on amazing food, good drinks & exceptional service.
Start off with with one of our signature appetizers and don’t forget to pair it with one of our tasty specialty cocktails, 16 draft beers or canned craft beers. Follow it with one of our juicy hamburgers, gourmet salads, sizzling steaks, seafood, chicken dinners or indulge in something from our 12 hour slow cooked BBQ pit. We were in town passing through Putnam and made lunch plans with my cousin who lives in the area that we hadn’t seen for a while. Found on Yelp and made a reservation. We were welcomed and seated quickly. We had great service and the food was delicious and good sized portions. We all had burgers, lol! The manager stopped by to say hello and see how things were going. All in all, a great choice!

As always. We had an amazing time. There were 6 of us. We enjoyed apps, we split meals, and had a bunch of adult beverages. Always our go-to place with our friends.

This is one of if not our favorite restaurant. Definitely our favorite in Putnam. We go frequently and always have great if not outstanding service and food. Our server today was Cally who we've never had before. She was energetic, friendly and attentive to our needs. Outstanding. Food was great as usual and the manager came over to say hi as he does routinely to the guests. A great touch for a larger restaurant but it's nice to have personal service for a successful larger restaurant. Love this place.
