Join us for an afternoon filled with discovery, camaraderie, and culinary delights at Black Cat Truffles. Experience the magic of the season as you embark on a truffle hunt followed by a delectable afternoon grazing - featuring local produce and our truffles, creating memories to cherish for years to come. Dietaries will not be catered for on the day, so please let us know any dietary requirements prior to your reservation. Price for children under 12 will be $50 per child and there will be a kids menu for them on the day. Please inform us how many children will be attending on the form when booking. Children over 12 will be considered at full price

The location is gorgeous and being on a truffle farm has its own excitement but it’s the food that will have you coming back again and again. Liam Downes provides a wonderful degustation experience with 6 courses. The menu is seasonal but whilst I was here the Arancini was creamy and very tasty. The special of lamb kebabs were smoky, sweet and full of BBQ yumminess. The highlight for me was the Ricotta gnocchi with pumpkin. But saying that all the food was fantastic. Of course truffles run through ever dish. I’ll return again and again.

Gorgeous venue, especially on a sunny day as you can sit out under the vine canopy & enjoy being among the truffiere. The service is impeccable; friendly, knowledgeable staff who know their product. The food is to die for, even if you are not a truffle fiend, and you definitely will not walk out hungry. Lots of local beer & wine to choose from too. All up, a wonderful experience.

Brilliant Chef’s selection. Every mouthful a delight. Keep returning and the experience always exceeds expectations. Liam & his team are a fantastic asset to Ballarat and the wider “food destination” community.

A hidden gem with delicious food, beautiful outdoor ambience & friendly service. A must visit for brunch on a Sunday morning. Only 5mins from Creswick, 25mins from Ballarat or Daylesford. My fav is scrambled eggs with spanner crab and chilli 😋

Saturday brunch. Delicious food - you can taste the quality of the produce. We sat outside under shady trees and grape vines looking out onto the truffle farm. Our waiter was lovely and made us feel comfortable straight away.
