A Birthday Ruined by Terrible Service I have been a loyal customer at this restaurant for years, but after my recent experience, I can confidently say I will never return. What was supposed to be a special birthday celebration turned into a nightmare, all thanks to a server who clearly had no business working in hospitality From the moment we were seated, the service was lackluster. Our server seemed disinterested and rushed, barely making eye contact as she took our orders. When my meal finally arrived, it was overcooked and unappetizing as well as missing key components of my order which she deliberately forgot to punch into the system. I tried to get her attention to rectify the situation, but she acted as if I was an inconvenience. The assistant server however was very professional, he noticed how upset me and my guest were. The worst part was how she handled my birthday. I had mentioned my celebration when I made the reservation, yet she treated me like i did not belong in the restaurant, and with an attitude. Instead of a simple “Happy Birthday,” she rolled her eyes and hurriedly set me down, making me feel embarrassed rather than celebrated To top it all off, the overall atmosphere was dampened by her lack of professionalism. I left feeling disappointed and frustrated, which is the exact opposite of what a birthday should be. It’s disheartening to see a once-great establishment fall to such poor standards. I will not be returning, and I highly advise others to think twice before dining here. Save yourself the trouble and find a place that values its customers! EDIT : This servers name in particular was rebecca and she definitely seemed like she was under the influence.

Our Filet Mignon was not prepared as ordered, the blue cheese dressing on our Wedge Salad was watered down, the Mexican Street Corn was way to spicy compared to what we enjoyed in the past. We were charged $11.00 more for a bottle of wine than the price listed in the wine menu. The Molten Chocolate Bomb Cake was horrible…….nothing but raw cake batter! Our Server Connie did remove the $14.00 charge for the dessert from our bill. Disappointing NYE dinner service ……..

I have 3 favorite restaurants that I like taking people (especially business associates to) and Black and Blue is in the top 2. I don't look at price. I look at the ambiance, the service (from the moment I walk in the door, the selection (Not overwhelming but balanced) and Taste & Flavor. It is not over-crowded that you have long waits (even with reservations). Its perfect for Business, for casual and a romantic interlude. Joe Sorrentino
