Bistro Freddie is a 45-cover restaurant in the heart of Shoreditch showcasing the best in British produce and French wine.

The menu is inspired by classic British and French gastronomy. Expect seasonal starters, bold mains and pies to share, as well as larger cuts of meat cooked over fire.

Curated by Alex Price, Bistro Freddie’s all-French wine list focusses on real wines that reflect a sense of place. The wine list takes a deep dive into all corners of France, exploring a variety of styles, regions and producers.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Bistro Freddie, flavourful cooking done really well. Service team were also wonderful with a warm lively atmosphere.

New Years Eve experience at Bristo Freddie... After a friend recommended the restaurant, my partner and I were extremely excited to come for the New Years Eve celebrations. Overall we were very disappointed and underwhelmed by the evening. Although, it was not disastrous and the staff were friendly, some of the main problems were... A limited menu choice- lack of choice and we had a 24 hour window 2 weeks prior to pick our meal. Pre done food- what is meant to be a lovely experience sat at the kitchen bar, it just added to out disappointment as we watched how much was ‘pre-done’ meant the kitchen was effectively an exercise in heating up and plating up. This is why some of the food was also disappointing such as bland fish and dry sticky toffee pudding. Overpriced for the experience (£70pp set menu) We were really looking forward to our meal. I do think we would have perhaps had a better experience on a regular night. However, it was very disappointing, paying such a significant amount for our special New Year’s Eve meal to walk out feeling rather deflated about the quality.

Visited this restaurant a few days ago. I have never experienced such boring, uninspired food presentation and witnessed so much money charged for so little in a restaurant. We were even charged £2.50 for filtered tap water. And the side salad I asked for which contained 6 lettuce leaves was not worth £6.00. Will not be visiting this restaurant again.

The service here was good, staff were super helpful and lovely. The food was great, the steak tartar was amazing. The sauce for the pork was a bit sweet for my liking but the pork itself was cooked perfectly.
