   We hadn't booked as didn't know what time we would arrive at hotel but they found us a table within 30 mins which was excellent. The kids menu is more than adequate even for a hungry 10 & 12 year old. Also good value for money too. The Al a Carte menu varied both with choice and price. The fish & chips was a good portion and beautifully cooked, likewise the big blue burger, meaty and juicy. Desserts of banana split and sticky toffee pudding rounded off a perfect family meal. Service was good especially as restaurant was busy but we never felt rushed at all. The advantage of eating here is also that after a day at the pleasure beach it offers great food on site, so you don't have to trail around with hungry youngsters trying to find a suitable place to eat that isn't just fast food.

   Loved the big blue hotel but dinning was expensive for the very small portions of food served.....certainly not value for money. The service in the restaurant was extremely poor......excellent greeting by lovely member of staff who explained menu options....but very long waits for food bring served. We waited forty minutes for our main course despite reminding staff......staff shortage was given as an excuse. A goodwill gesture of a free drink was offered and accepted for the long delays.....which was a nice gesture tho.

   So we arrived early and went into the bar for lunch there was obviously some marketing thing going on for the hotel in the restaurant. We arrived in the restaurant and weren’t welcomed I had to ask a woman if they were serving food she put us on a crappy undressed table while the kids obviously doing the advertising for the hotel were treated like royalty we were left to order food and drinks at an Empty bar. Waitress told us to order at the bar which nobody had been stood at for 20 minutes we had been there. Then evening meal we were welcomed by a lovely waiter and showed to our seats. A second waiter came and took our drinks order which never arrived. 20 minutes later the first waiter came and asked us for our drinks order I said we had already ordered but they hadn’t came. Now it’s late and I’m with two children on my own my toddler who is autistic and was getting tired and fed up. Ten minutes later our drinks arrive and we order food. The food took absolutely ages to come we sat down at 1920 and didn’t leave until 2120. The waiters were so lovely but the service from the kitchen was shocking.

   The sausages and bacon were very tough. It said cooked to order but it was like it had been stood for a while under a hot plate. We have been a few times before and it was buffet style and always enjoyed it so hopefully this was just a one off but if it says cooked to order we would expect it to be cooked to order 😔

   Spent 2 lovely nights eating in the restaurant, food was delicious, service was quick and the staff were very pleasant, Damien went above and beyond with his knowledge of food and drinks,a credit to the company,it's also very good value for money,would definitely recommend

    Some breakfast items not available. Lots of children in for breakfast so quite noisy and need to dodge youngsters at self serve buffet
