This is a lovely restaurant on a totally iconic site. We are from the UK so it was lovely to eat in the Sydney Opera House. Menu is limited but food very good and service excellent.

Wonderful meal, wine and harbour views. Exceptional sommelier experience! Dessert course was nice and of course we got the pavlova shaped like the Opera House: Beware that Opentable is off by two hours on reservations made in the states. We booked 8:15pm and the restaurant had 6:15 as our booked time. Fortunately, when we showed them the app's reservation they made it work. But it was a bit of a wait, and we were initially made to feel like we had erred given time zone misunderstanding when the problem was with Opentable. Most of Bennelong's reservations are made directly, so they didn't have much insight into Opentable. The host did take a photo of my reservation on my phone to report it:

たまたまクラシックのコンサートと重なり、すばらしい雰囲気でした。食事もたいへんおいしくいい選択だったと思います。ただ、照明が暗く見た目の美しさがよくわからなかったのが唯一の減点にしました。

The food here was like nothing I have ever tasted and won the evening. Amazing! The service was also first class. For regional travellers, this was definitely an experience we don't often get.

Beautiful venue for a special occasion dinner. My fine dining experiences in the past have been different than the experience I had at Bennelong. That doesn’t mean that the restaurant was off, it could have a cultural misinterpretation on my part. The meal lacked some continuity with regard to the servers and service. Entrees and main courses were served staggered to our party, not at the same time. One entree was partially dropped on the floor just as it was being served, but they recovered nicely and had a replacement within 3-5 min. The food was very good, but with 5 glasses of wine for a party of 3, I don’t know that it was worth AU$900. The real reason to dine at Bennelong is the venue.
