Bavaro’s opened its doors in March 2009 as the first traditional Neapolitan Pizzeria in the state of Florida.

A company committed to the art and craft of Neapolitan pizza, Bavaro’s stays true to tradition by using hand-crafted, wood-fired brick ovens designed by third-generation Neapolitan craftsmen, a 100-year-old yeast culture, 100-year-old Neapolitan recipes, and top-of-the-line ingredients sourced directly from Italy.

From a restaurant in downtown Tampa that seats 50 guests, to a global brand with a standard of quality that resonates around the world, Bavaro’s has since built 3 additional locations and continues to commit itself to the high-quality, welcoming experience that guests all around the country have grown to love.

We had a New Year's reservation for an inside table. When we checked in with the hostess, we were told there were no more inside tables, and we would have to be seated outside. We did not want to sit outside. But we agreed to be seated outside since it was too late to get a reservation elsewhere. Once we were seated outside we observed people being escorted inside to be seated at tables. So when our waitress came, we asked why we were seated outside because we observed people being seated inside after we were seated outside. Our waitress told us someone changed our reservation to outside. She proceeded to the hostess station came back & told us she could move us inside to a table. So we grabbed our wine etc & moved to an inside table. We are disappointed in having this even occur. We live in the neighborhood & visit this restaurant frequently.

A great little find in downtown Tampa. Very fair pricing for the location. Penne Vodka was excellent and the Margherita Pizza was as well. My wife said the Tomato Basil soup she had was one of the best she’s tasted. Our waitress was also very helpful and friendly.

Went with family to have some pasta and pizza. Found Bavaro’s pizza to be excellent and very authentically Neapolitan. The pasta and apps were also really great, and the service was friendly and prompt. Would definitely come back!

This was mine and my boyfriend’s first time here and just let me start by saying wow, what an amazing first time experience. The food, atmosphere and service was all amazing we will definitely be back. We couldn’t stop talking about the wings and ravioli. We will be back and will recommend to everyone. The cook there has some serious talent.

Have dined here several times and it’s always a wonderful experience. Food and service is absolutely fantastic!!! Highly recommend and can’t wait to return.

Our server was perfect. Sadly, our experience getting our table and keeping it for the time allowed on Bavaro's website (90 minutes) was less than stellar. At first it appeared that our reservation wasn't listed. The reservation was for 3 people at 3:30 inside on a busy Saturday. The hostess tried to give us an outdoor (very chilly day) table. When reminded indoors was reserved, we were then shown our table. My companions' food was excellent, the chicken on my chopped salad was quite dry. At 4:35, the manager came by, asked how our now consumed meals were and then told us our table was needed and we should leave asap. One of us was still enjoying her wine. We all found this to be rather rude considering there were at lease 6 vacant tables. Needless to say, we don't plan to return. We were 3 older women who were polite, quiet and left a 30% tip. There was no reason to ask us to leave that quickly.
