Out of passion, tradition, hard work and integrity, Bavaro’s opened its doors in March 2009 as the first traditional Neapolitan Pizzeria in the state of Florida. Determined to share their family recipes with the world, Dan Bavaro, his wife Anna-Maria, and their five beautiful children packed their U-Haul, left their friends and family, drove from New Jersey to Tampa, and set out to provide for others the same love, energy, and authenticity that they experience around their own dinner table.

Si no se tiene reservación, te dejan esperando por horas como un 0 a la izquierda y ni siquiera te muestran una sonrisa, tuvimos que reservar ahí mismo para poder comer, no tienen todas las variedades de otros Babaros, viajamos una hora porque nos gustó mucho cuando estuvimos en el de Tampa, Pero a este de Sarasota no vamos más.

We can’t believe we didn’t know they were downtown. Best restaurant find! Authentic Italian. Beautifully decorated. Service was great and they had live music. Can’t wait to go back!

The Margherita pizza and Verde salad were so delicious. Our server Carrie was attentive and so nice, and the ambience was perfect. Love this place! It’s become my new go-to to bring out of town friends and relatives to dine.

Always a great experience dining here- Whether for Sunday lunch or din. The food is always attractive & delish-you have to love consistency! Last night I took my mother for drinks & a pie. Coupled with the pleasure of having David as our server, who I can't say enough about- For me, service is equally as important as dish & drink quality & ambiance! PS Great guitarist on patio!

While we pray for all who were affected by the catastrophic storms in Florida, we are thankful for the recovery efforts of so many. We are thankful, too, that our friends at Bavaro's of Sarasota weathered the storm. They continue to be the best destination for wood-fired Pizza Napolitana and so much more. The dedicated, friendly staff completes the experience with perfection and care.

I cannot imagine a better venue than Bavaro's - our weekly go-to for the very best wood-fired Pizza Napolitana you will find, prepared and served by a staff that is second to none. In addition to their blue ribbon pizza, the menu boasts uniquely prepared pasta, chicken & seafood dishes preceded with an assortment of tempting appetizers available to start you off, and choice desserts for a sweet finish. Conveniently located on Fletcher Avenue between Fruitville & Main in Sarasota.

Bavaro's Sarasota never disappoints and have given new meaning to TGIF. It is our Friday night go-to, where they serve the best wood-fired Pizza Napolitana you will find. But, don't stop there, as their menu offerings include many uniquely creative appetizers, meals and desserts, perfectly prepared and always served by their warm, friendly staff. A delight not to be missed.

First time dining at Bavaro’s. Our waiter Steven was the best! Great table with a view. His suggestions to the menu were spot on and he made us feel like we were the only people he was taking care of. The homemade pasta was delicious. After dinner we went to the lovely Bar area for dessert & drinks with Doug pouring expertly. We had a wonderful time. Thank you Steven & Doug!
