Barrio Queen is the best restaurant in Phoenix for authentic Mexican food and craft cocktails. Dinner took more than 3 hours and came out cold. Wait staff was trying very hard but restaurant seems short staffed and/or poorly run. Won’t return

The black mole sauce was extremely sweet, making it difficult to finish. The chicken in the fiesta bowl was very dry.

Barrio Queen is a real value with a great happy hour menu! My favorite is the guacamole made at your table with pomegranate! Delicious! The two tacos for $5 is a real bargain and my special treat is the Elotes corn side dish!

Very busy, service was very slow. It took a long time just to get water. The biggest let down was the $15 guacamole. They used 1/2 an avocado and it wasn’t even fully ripe and mashed! Burritos were not very big and had a very spicy aftertaste.
