The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are five star level, but their reservation system needs a look at. Our reservation was at 8:15pm. We got there 15 minutes early and were told it was going to be a 35 minute wait starting at our reservation time. We eventually waited and were given an outside seat even though the reservation was for inside. The service, once we were sat, was exceptional. The food was good, it wasn’t very Mexican. I might try it again, but never again on a busy night.

Seated fairly quickly considering it was Valentine’s Day. All of our food was really good. The shrimp and steak fajitas were on point.

Our waitress was very sweet and on top of her game. We chose the menu offered for restaurant’s week and it was great, flavorful, and very copious. We will return to this restaurant.

Restaurant week for $33 each is such a great deal. We both did the margarita flight with guacamole and taco trio. We also tried both the churros and flan for dessert. Great value and food was wonderful. I am obsessed with their guacamole and Toloache margarita. Both are best in class.

My friend and I ordered the 3-course meal featured during Restaurant Week and it was delicious and very filling--we had take-home leftovers for sure. The corn elote was tasty and the enchiladas/rice/beans were delicious! The churro was to-die-for! We were stuffed! The restaurant was decorated beautifully.

Will always stop at Barrio Queen when visiting Arizona. Loved this Avondale location, and they opened early for brunch on Sunday. Great menu choices and service!
