    We were surprised there was very little holiday decor present. Not even a single flower on the table. Just a table lamp. Very “blah”, dark and dreary atmosphere. Amy, our service provider was excellent. Very charming, helpful, and proficient in her tasks. Things not under her control that failed were cold, and I mean cold dinner rolls. Not even room temperature. The soups were good but cool, temperature-wise. The entire meal was cold, in particular the dressing which was dry as it could be. The turkey, which was a roll was good and moist. There wasn’t even two fork-fulls of cranberries and they were buried under the rest of the food so it all blended together. There wasn’t enough gravy to even try to moisten the dressing. Roasted vegetables were very good and the warmest thing on the plate. The pumpkin dessert was excellent. We are well aware how difficult it is to serve so many people at once, with a hot meal so our expectations were realistic, we feel. We were also disappointed there was no dress code. Surely, for one day people can take the time to clean up a bit for a special occasion.

    Our experience was fantastic, service great and super helpful. The food is always top notch and well prepared. We keep coming back because it all works and we walk away happy and truly satisfied.

    The approachable wait staff was the best part of the experience, seconded by the surrounding gardens. There were somewhat limited choices, but I was excited about some of them being very interesting like the Lamb Ruben. I was told this was a spectacular Ruben and was pretty disappointed when the whole sandwich seemed to have a ridiculously stingy amount of meat on it. Flavors were good, however. The best part of the food was the truffle fries. I felt there was a lot more bark than bite when it came to the proportions and food, other than the enormous amount of sweet potato fries we received.
