Inspired by the parrillas of his native Argentina and the hip enclaves of contemporary Buenos Aires, Chef Javier Bardauil brings the art of live-fire cooking to Detroit at BARDA — a modern steakhouse where ancestral traditions meet out-of-this-world innovation. The BARDA kitchen relies solely on a wood-burning grill and oven, ensuring that every dish is either flame-cooked, fire-kissed, or served raw, showcasing premium cuts of meat and high-quality seafood and vegetables prepared to highlight their natural flavors. My husband and I dine here often….we love it! This evening we brought my dad for his birthday and he was completely blown away! His words were “the flavors are having an incredible dance party in my mouth “ LOL, happy 77th birthday dad! As always, the service was impeccable and food was delicious! We also love the overall vibe of the restaurant! Everything is wonderful about Barda

Delicious food prepared to perfection! We started with the burrata and then both had the trout and the roasted cauliflower as our shared side dish. We ended our meal with the Burnt Alaska prepared at our table which topped off our night. Each course was delicious, plated nicely and as described on the menu. Our server was attentive throughout and provided great recommendations for each course. We would return again!

Amazing food and service. Charred salad, strip loin steak, and the burnt Alaska were fantastic! Cant wait to go back.

Barda was a fun place to eat and drink. The waitstaff was thoughtful, funny, and kind, though very overworked: it took us a long time to be greeted, to get our drinks, and to get even water to the table. My husband's steak was phenomenal, our cocktails were delicious, and the baked Alaska was yummy. I did not care for my food at all, however: the Peruvian rice was far too acidic, to the point of being inedible. And the food was extremely expensive: $75 for a steak. However, for a fun special celebration if you've got the cash, I would recommend it--just get the steak and the cocktails!

First time we went. Energetic atmosphere. Creative menu. Steak tartar with the bone marrow and horseradish was excellent. Some of the entrées were so big they’re worth sharing. Nice cocktail selections and wine selections. We will be back.

All the food was amazing. My wife got the LOMO and it was cooked to perfection. And I had the trout which was mouth watering. All the apps and sides were extremely tasty. I can’t wait to go back and bring someone new
