We loved Baar Baar! Everything was delicious. The butter chicken with the chili cheese naan was a highlight, but also really enjoyed the duck birra tacos, the avocado bhel, and the dahi puri was really unique.

Food, ambiance and service were excellent. I would definitely go back to try more dishes. The pinwheel and curries were delicious.

Terrible hostess, treated us like they did us a favor seating us a few minutes late. The hostess then proceeds to tell us we cannot order dinner, only drinks and appetizers. The waitress was not allowed to ask us for a second round of drinks and didn’t offer us the dessert menu knowing we were celebrating a birthday. The hostess stood in front of our table staring right at us 50% of the time rushing us through our meal. The food was mediocre. I do not recommend this place.

I must start by saying my wife and I went to Chicago in April for her birthday and ate at three Michelin star restaurants, Indienne being our favorite by far. I figured the sister restaurant Baar Baar in Los Angeles would be at the same level but I’m sorry to say it was a horrible experience. From the minute we walked in you felt something was wrong. Our waiter was never around and didn’t even know how to open a bottle of wine. I blame management because he was obviously never trained and should’ve never been hired in the first place. There was no manager on the floor. There were six of us and our first course came out for four and they forgot the other two. We had to remind them twice that they never brought them. I asked the waiter to open the bottle of wine I brought so it could breathe and bring out four glasses. Twenty minutes later he showed up with three glasses and took the bottle away from the table because he didn’t know how to open it. Between all of us there were some tasty dishes and some really disappointing ones. I would say this restaurant won’t be there much longer. Mismanaged, already more than 75% empty the night we were there. If you’re going to be in Chicago, don’t miss going to Indienne, really an amazing experience!

Delicious Indian food ! The avacado Beih appetizer dish was sooo incredible! Very kind attentive staff , food comes out fast. Great find in walking distance to a lot of events.

Very good cocktail and food. Drinks ordered Hera Pheri and Dilwale dulhania…. both were very good. Small plates : kerala fried chicken, duck birra tacos and lamb chops - all excellent without the sauce that accompanied. IMO all sauces needed more flavor. Dessert: cheesecake with gulab jamun. Was good. Excellent service by our waiter - Thx.

Excellent food, creative cocktails, and great service. The lamb kebabs were our favorite dish, but we enjoyed everything starting with the crisps and chutneys, to multiple curries, to the gulab jamun cheesecake. We'll definitely return.

Great venue for team dinners and special events. Drink menu is unique and the starters are delicious. Ambience is great and the service is very accommodating to our needs.

Delicious Indian food with a modern twist. Good location and ambience. Food is on the pricier end but worth it. Amazing drinks and even better service.
