We made plans to visit Axel's last Friday. From the time we arrived we were met with friendly and welcoming staff. The hostess who greeted us with a smile and guided us to our table (and offered coat check service, nice touch) to the personable server who's knowledge of the menu made it easy to choose from many of the enticing dinning choices. We also ordered some bar services as well and the beverages were well mixed smooth and flavorful.

Had a pretty good experience at Axel’s. Was pretty noisy. The signature pop-overs were barely warm, but our salads were fresh, the green beans were perfectly done and seasoned nicely. We both had the coconut shrimp and they were large and tasty. The “smashed potatoes “ were dry and overcooked. Service was very good, attentive. A cool draft came through the entry door by where we were seated.

Tara ruined my familys thanksgiving. We arrived a little early to a reservation on thanksgiving, assuming it would be busy with guests and staff running around. To my surprise, the lobby was close to empty. So I go up to the empty host stand where 3 employees stand. No greeting, no happy thanksgiving, nothing. So i say my name and was waved off and told to come back at the actual time, and brushed off like i was demanding a table 2 hours early. When in reality i was 14 min early. Ive been in the restaurant and entertainment game for over 30 years. Out of everyone who goes out, i understand busy, stress, and rudeness. It was far from busy, lowest stress a host/server could have being no one was around or at the host stand. And all i said was my name. No reason to ever have this attitude but especially on thanksgiving when im with my family. Nothing but her attitude was discussed the rest of the holiday. When u spend that kind of money per person, you dont expect to be treated like crap and a burden on a holiday. This was our familys 5th time at the thanksgiving buffet, but will be our last. Mostly because Tara thinks its her world, when shes a host in a restaurant, period. A bad experience for sure, mostly thanks to a single horrible employee. Every other year it was crowded and busy, but my family were treated with respect in a crazy time. Yet on a slow day she had to have a attitude and ruin my family thanksgiving. Having poorly attitude employees happens, but putting this entitled woman as your face on a holiday was a poor decision, and because of it not only have you lost our thanksgiving business, but my business dinners and future family events.

Not worth the cost. It would have been great at $19.99, it would have been good at $29.99. But it cost each of us $61! $49.99 plus tax and 22% gratuity. Not worth it.

As someone who is gluten-free, I appreciated all the options! This was a much better experience for me than the last time I was here. Highly recommend for anyone who is gluten-free!
