High energy and gracious, Avenue Kitchen and Bar is a place where one can enjoy terrific cocktails and comforting, Latin-American inspired cuisine from Executive Chef Audiel Vera and his seasoned and attentive staff. Our food offers flavors & technique that will welcome and excite you.
We have seating available in our large dining room, our bar & lounge, a seasonally-opened outdoor area, and a small private dining space available for intimate dinner parties.
We are conveniently located on 36th Street, commonly known as "the Avenue" in Hampden. Metered parking is available in a full lot in the rear of the restaurant as well as the front and surrounding streets. Entrances are located at both the front and rear and are easily accessible for all.

The shrimp and grits were some of the best I’ve ever had -and def the best here in Bmore. The avocado toast had additional vegetables and was very filling. Service was very attentive. Great experience all around!!

I made a reservation for brunch for my husband's birthday on October 19th. The food and drinks were excellent. The bartenders were very friendly. Every time I go to the Avenue for lunch or dinner the service is always great. Making a reservation was so easy. We'll definitely go back to The Avenue Kitchen & Bar. Thetius

My friends and I love coming here; we were a party of 6 this time. I convinced them to dine here because I was yearning for that Prime Rib Grilled Cheese, which didn't dissapoint. Food is always good, drinks are delicious and the staff is very friendly and don't make you feel like you're getting on their nerves, just because you have a question. I will continue to dine here because they've earned my loyalty. I am disappointed in myself for not knowing our waitresses name, when she waits on us every time. She just calls us her babies :-), so we never asked her name. lol

The quantity of food you receive versus the cost is not equitable. However, the service was outstanding and our waitress was “hands down” the best overall. We would definitely try this restaurant again if we can get the same waitress.

Always a lovely experience! Sunday brunchin!! Great music, good atmosphere! Drinks and food soo tasty! Highly recommend! Great service as well.

Our server Denise was the highlight of our visit. She took excellent care of us and made sure that she assisted us in selecting drinks appetizers, and entrees that would please our palettes. She was personable and delightful and checked on us regularly and anticipated our every need! My only concern was the size of the catfish fillet on the sandwich for the price. Although it was delicious and perfectly cooked and seasoned, it was a rather small piece of fish.
