Aurum Food & Wine Steamboat is an modern, upbeat American restaurant located in beautiful downtown Steamboat Springs along the Yampa River overlooking Howelsen Hill. The food was amazing but the tempo of the service was a little off. We were seated in the bar and that may have played a factor. Our meal at Table 79 was far better. There was also a lot of ice at the entranceway that should probably be scraped away before someone slips.

Prefixed menu for new years and ran out of bone in elk and soup. Portions were generous. Should have included champagne toast for late night seating and menu substitutions.

Really sub par NYE experience with preset 4 course menu. Extremely overpriced for value and overall ambience. Service tried to make it right which was appreciated.

That was the most overpriced dinner in my life. The restaurant said the fixed price menu is $65 for kids. Then after the meal the waiter said we needed to have asked for a kids menu. So we were charged full price for our two kids ($135 each). We sent back like 3 pounds of fat. The restaurant should inform guests that porchetta means a slab of fat. My meal was also $135 despite not having any meat. Total ripoff and waste of money. Happy New Year!

Excellent bartender and selection of drinks. Our service was impeccable from the hostess Natalie, the female bartender who made our specialty cocktails to the young man who was our server. Everyone knew the menu and all worked well as a team and were very friendly and accommodating.

I decided to dine at the Steamboat location after enjoying the Breck location a few years ago. The Steamboat experience was nothing like my previous dinner in Breck. The seating offered to us wasn’t great so we opted to eat the bar. The bar server was slow and confused with everyone’s orders; so much so that someone came out to apologize. But the real disappointment was the food. Everything was overcooked and almost tasteless. The Parker house rolls were crusty as if they had been sitting out all day. The only thing that saved them was the honey butter. The crab cake was dry, all filler and no crabmeat; and didn’t come with any accompanying sauce. Even the side salad didn’t have the items listed on the menu and was underdressed; if dressed at all with the stated mango coconut dressing. The Korean fried chicken was so overcooked that it was like chewing beef jerky. I would never go back as the prices were unjustified given the poor quality of the dishes.
