In case you haven't travelled with us before, let us introduce ourselves. We are a fine dining restaurant located in the heart of South Yarra.

We first opened our doors in 2016, when a then, 22-year-old Charlie Carrington, decided to create a restaurant that changed cuisine every few months. Dubbed the most "Ambitious Restaurant Opening" of the year, Atlas Dining quickly rose to cult status. Within a month, Charlie became the youngest Australian chef to be awarded a Chef's Hat.

Eight years on, and (now) 25 cuisines later, Atlas Dining continues to be one of the most unique restaurants around.

We offer affordable fine dining, but most importantly, an unforgettable experience that helps guests' tastebuds travel the world.

Starting Wednesday, 9th of October, Atlas Dining is transforming into an unforgettable Portuguese dining experience! Embark on a culinary adventure with our bold and authentic four-course Portuguese-inspired menu, where every dish captures the vibrant flavors and rich traditions of Portugal. From the smoky aromas of Piri-Piri to the heartwarming comfort of coastal seafood dishes, this is a taste journey you won’t want to miss. The menu is $85 per person, and we happily cater to all dietary requirements with advance notice.

Fine dining at a reasonable price. Food was very good and service was good too. Quite noisy though when restaurant is full.

Always have a great time dining here. Have been here many times and I’ve never been disappointed. What Charlie, and his team, manage to come up with is just amazing. Such amazing dishes that always hit the spot, such an inspirational mind. Really looking forward to the next destination

We were really looking forward to going, however we were left disappointed. Portuguese was the cuisine and smoke/peri peri was the feature throughout the menu. The main disappointment was the service, paired wines being served 10mins or more before food arrived for each dish, slow service (first drink, which was not a paired wine, was served after the first dishes came out), and whilst we booked a vegetarian menu and paired wines this wasn’t confirmed at all and we had to ask for both (the server didn’t ask us about dietary requirements or ask if we wanted matched wines). Food was good but smoke/peri peri was sometimes overwhelming. Some of the chicken was under cooked. Charlie was not there and it definitely felt like it!

We’ve dined at Atlas many times and each time reminds me why we keep doing so and why we recommend it to friends so often. Sadly, last night was not at the normal Atlas standard. While the food was still fantastic, it was slow & it was clear the wait staff were perhaps fewer than usual. The first courses came out & we weren’t told what we were eating (unusual) so I checked the menu on the website. Normally, we’d be checked in on for drinks/service every 10-15 mins but glasses were left empty for a half hour at a time. Courses were probably 20-30 mins between. Overall, not the normal exceptional standard we’ve had in the past.
