The Asbury Ale House, established in 2015, is located in the historic Steinbach building in the heart of historic Asbury park, New Jersey. Newly remodeled and renovated in 2019, the Asbury Ale House has a fresh, vibrant, fun atmosphere and eccentric vibe that keeps fans coming back again and again.

Asbury Ale House offers “something for everyone,” featuring 60 beers on tap, a diverse gastropub menu, and a renowned bar program featuring some of the most over-the-top cocktails around! Home to the famous WATERMELON KEGS, FROZEN MARGARITA FLIGHTS, and COCO COLADAAH FLIGHTS, you’ll want to have your camera ready when you come in to see us.

Outdoor seating is FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. All reservations are for indoor dining only. Thank you!

Food was great; however, it is very cramped and loud. If you or any one in your party is noise sensitive skip this place.

Half the menu was unavailable…like all the basics…any type of egg roll, chicken tenders, sliders, etc. Then we finally decided on meals that they had left on their menu. My friend and I ordered a grilled cheese that came with French onion soup. They brought the meal without the soups. The meal was called French onion grilled cheese-kinda the reason to get it. They didn’t even acknowledge the soup was missing. We asked twice for it and then were told they were out of that, too. They then not only charged us for the meals, charged us an upgrade for french fries, but literally took off $1!!!!! They could have given us the fries for free and we would have gotten over it. How insulting! $1! We talked to the manager and he refused to amend the bill past the $1 off. Such poor customer service. Won’t be back anytime soon. (Waitress was good…unrelated to her service)

Food, service, drinks, ambiance all excellent. Great bar area. Only thing, volume. One speaker is so god dam loud u can’t hear or talk. Luckily we moved to the back where it was perfect. Drives me nutz when restaurants blast music. No one is here for a concert. People come to eat, drink and talk. If I want to do all three, Asbury Ale House isnt for me. Shame. And no one says “make it louder” yet they do.

My experience here was so bad and so disappointing. When we walked no one greeted us. There were four people there and they were all in deep conversation. I heard a waitress tell me manager that a table ordered drinks off the menu and the bar didn’t have the ingredients. The manager replied that they just changed the menu over and that table had scanned the un updated menu. Then he confidently walks over to me and my friends and says so we have no menus just this and has us scan the QR code at the front. I’m thinking to myself there’s no way this man knew this menu was wrong and had us scan it but low and behold that is exactly what happened. After waiting 15 mins, our waiter Michael finally showed up and we ordered drinks and food. He comes back and says not only does he not have those drinks he doesn’t even have an updated menu to show us. We wait and wait for this new menu with no drinks and no update and then our food comes, brought by someone not out waiter so we couldn’t even order a drink. At this point we’ve been here almost 30 mins with no drinks. Finally after my friends are almost finished with their meal with no drinks I go and ask at the front if the menu had been updated and they tell me oh yeah it’s been updated for a while now! Our waiter never came to tell us or take an updated drink order. Eventually I asked for a manager and got it somewhat settled. My friends ordered beers off the top of their heads that we knew they’re probably have. But what restaurant updates their menu on a Friday night with no physical copies of it? It was a really disappointing start to our Friday night. We went down the street to Homesick and Lovesick afterwards and had a much better time with much better service. Don’t waste your time here.
