    My first experience at this restaurant and thought it was wonderful! Very good food along with a variety of options on the menu that all looked great. Outside of the food and menu options, I do not like restaurants that enforce a 4% tip for the kitchen plus a 20% auto gratuity. That’s 24% forced onto the consumer. Not a fan of this at all. There are several great restaurants in NO so it will be tough for me to return to this place with this fee practice. If this doesn’t concern you as a consumer, then give them a try. But for me, it’s possibly a “one and done” experience.

    This was our second time there and we were greeted by personal recognition and an invitation to sit at “our table in the corner.” The manager or owner then came over to confirm who I was by name and welcome us in again. The food is always great. The ambiance is always cozy and comfortably. The experience is always one that makes us want to go back. Highly rated….you won’t be disappointed.

    Apolline is a hidden gem! The food was delicious, the service was exceptional and the ambiance was perfect for a great dining experience! I had a 6PM reservation which had me arriving still in time for happy hour. Had $3 off a glass of wine and I chose the cheese board from the starters selections. For my main course I chose the cold smoke grilled pork chop. OUTSTANDING! And for dessert the bread pudding, of course! I highly recommend dining at Apolline. I will be returning, I need to try the scallops & shrimp next time.

    Rating: ★ I had high hopes for Apolline, but unfortunately, our Sunday brunch experience fell short. We had a 12:30 PM reservation, but our food didn’t arrive until 1:50 PM — nearly 1.5 hours later! When we inquired about the delay, we were told that food is served in the order it goes into the kitchen. That explanation didn’t help, especially given how long we waited. To compensate, they gave us two biscuits to share among three people. We had also ordered a yogurt parfait, which didn’t arrive in a timely manner either. We had to ask for it and it had been sitting out for a while it was warm. The food was so so as the waffles and chicken just tasted like cooking oil. The short rib sandwich had 2 little pieces of meat on the bread…I guess they ran out of short ribs. Finally had he omelette was just okay. Was not an enjoyable meal experience all around. The manager seemed apologetic claiming to many people arrived at one time ?!? I am not sure what was going on in the kitchen but the manager/owner didn’t seem to stressed seeing the entire restaurant waiting for their meals.

    This is our old faithful. When we all lived in town we were frequent guest of Apolline! From the candied bacon, the biscuits, bottomless mimosas! Nothing ever disappoints!
