The Anglesey Arms is nestled in the picturesque hamlet of Halnaker, renowned as a red-brick village favourite with both returning locals and fleeting visitors needing some respite. Outstanding food, nice calm restaurant, superb beer. Four for dinner, three of us opted for ribeye, delicious! Flowerpots beer was superb. Good VFM & highly recommended.

all very good apart from "thumping music" in the BACKGROUND any louder and it would have been annoying

Having checked with the team, I have been informed there was a private event taking place in our stretch tent during your visit which may explain why the music came across as thumping, and you were able to hear this in the background. Sunday lunch really great quality food , option to have smaller plates if required. Selection of roasts was spot on and the service excellent. Not rushed but appropriately efficient, Everything about the experience was amazing highly recommended

We had a pleasant meal with our visiting son. The food was very good and the service excellent. Friendly and efficient, we had one small problem which was sorted quickly and without fuss. We look forward to our next visit.

Our Waiter was very helpful and initial impression good the Shiraz wine we had was delicious. I chose the special Vietnamese Coconut Curry with added prawns and flatbread. The only heat with from the red chili on the side no sign or taste of coconut prawns were soggy and had no taste and the gooey mush was served cold as were the flat breads - very disappointing one of my friends had the chicken burger with skin on fries - no skin on the fries just frozen chips and a disappointing burger. The other friend had the Chicken Schnitzel and that was OK. We finished with the profiteroles which were excellent apart from the lack of topping.
