   Wir waren zu zweit in dem tollen Hinterzimmer unterbracht. Guter Service, gutes Essen und sehr schönes Ambiente.

   Service and food were good. Sadly we were sat in the dining room which whilst lovely was small, and we were right next to a large group of men who were ridiculously loud and using incredibly bad language and talking about really inappropriate subjects (again, very loudly) considering it was a Sunday lunchtime (not exactly a late Friday/Saturday night out). We had 2 young children with us and there was just no escaping it given the small space. I would have hoped the management would have had a quiet and subtle word to suggest they lower the volume but I guess people worry about repercussions. Service was very good and we saw even the waiting staff were uncomfortable with the group, but there seemed nothing they would/could do. Food was good, just a shame a group spoiled the whole experience as we couldn’t wait to get out - the noise and constant bad language/subjects was too much. Deserts looked lovely but we just couldn’t stay.

   What a delightful experience. Used to be our local pub years ago and popped in for dinner after not being in the area for years. The food and service were outstanding. We loved that the pub had not changed with time into one of those modern gastropubs and the Sunday menu was delicious. Fab place - to be repeated!!

   Delicious Sunday roast and nice atmosphere. Reasonably priced for the area and decent sized food portions. Friendly staff.

   Atmosphere was very loud and crowded with Friday evening revelry. With a reservation, we were seated near the rest room and I was bumped repeatedly as people made their way to the restroom, which was a frequent occurrence. Fish n Chips looked beautiful but were quite bland. The battered crust had good crispy texture but was under seasoned, and the fish inside was mushy. The ambience was that if a classic British pub, so that was cool. I would go back for lunch maybe and order something else.

    Reasonable food marred by an unpleasant host. We reserved a table for 4 and there were 2 tables for 4 in the bar area. We tried to sit at the window table and the host insisted ours was the one in the back. We asked to be allowed to sit at the nicer table but he insisted that someone else had reserved that one. By the time we had finished our meal there was still no one seated at the window table. When we pointed that out after paying our bill he apologized but had no explanation for why he had refused to allow us to sit there. What terrible customer service.
