Añada on Gertrude Street in Fitzroy, serves a tapas menu mainly influenced by the food of Andalusia, Southern Spain and the flavours of the Mediterranean.

Originally founded in 2008 by Jesse and Vanessa Gerner, the team at Añada highly value sustainable efforts and community outreach, and champion local farmers, producers and providers as often as possible.

In the years since its opening, Añada has grown to be known as a neighbourhood staple, offering a menu that pairs authentic Spanish foods with an extensive wine and sherry list. The warm, intimate atmosphere is complemented by knowledgeable, friendly service.

    Functions at Añada are entirely customised. Our chefs are happy to work with your group to develop a unique menu that works with the season and style of service you prefer. Arcadia can offer indoor seated events up to 35 or 50 utilising the heated courtyard. and 60 standing for cocktail and canape events.

                                                                                We had an amazing dinner experience! The Atún and Pulpo dishes were exceptional. We tried all the tapas, and they exceeded our expectations. Don't be fooled by their small size , each bite was packed with flavor. My favorites were the galleta with goat cheese and the croqueta, which had a delightful spicy kick , a nice surprise for someone who's had croquetas all my life! The chocolate mousse for dessert was superb. Highly recommended! We also really loved the music!

                                                                                Food here was top notch. Staff were friendly and gave great recommendations. Cute, relaxed environment with ambient lighting. Perfect for a date or a few drinks and tapas with friends.

Our waiter’s knowledge was thorough on the food & drinks, including its origins/history and Spanish language pronunciation. Wonderful, can’t wait to return. Phil

                                                                                bad service Had to ask for the menu long after sitting down, Had to then ask for cutlery to be given, plates to be taken away etc because no one came to our attention Paella took >30mins to come out after the tapas Asked for the bill but never came so just had to go up to the reception to pay. Food was just average and overpriced. Small portion too. I’ve been to many fine dining restaurants and this is the slowest and poorest service I’ve experienced
