Nestled alongside the Fox River, and including a full-service container bar, our patio comes alive 12 months out of the year with a heated seasonal enclosure during the winter months.

Looking to host a party? Our private dining room adjacent to the brew house is certain to bring together small to medium sized private events in a vibrant sit down or cocktail environment.

While our beer is certainly the front man of this band, the supporting musicians are excellent players! A full-service kitchen, wine and spirit program allows not just beer lovers but all to enjoy our carefully curated offerings. Whether you come for the beer, food, wine or spirits we know you’ll stay and come back because of the great times you’ll have.

The food was just mediocre at best. Rice was undercooked, we informed our server and said, “Ya, we’ve been hearing that a lot from folks.”

We had a group of 9 and had a table in the tent area near the river. Heaters kept us warm and the views were great. Enjoyed the beers and food.

Don’t expect any service if you sit at the bar. Bad experience. Bartender did not check in on us. Ordered a water with dinner as well as beer. Had to ask multiple times for the water. Never been to a bar that they acted like you were not there. Thumbs down. Too bad my wife likes the beer there. I would not go back otherwise

The bar tender did a great job with my special request. The kitchen did a great job splitting our meal with a lovely presentation. Our salad was a little heavy on the dressing and red onion. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. We appreciated being able to make a reservation and get in and out of there for a concert.

First time visiting Alter Brewing. Very good experience. Food was great, great variety of drinks and the service was excellent as well. Will definitely be back.

It was a very good meal, excellent food and service. But, the restaurant was not busy. There was no reason for them to seat us right next to the main door, where everyone was going in and out. My dining companions arrived before me and that was where they were seated. I wasn’t going to request to change since they were already seated, but why would they seat someone with a reservation in one of the least desirable tables? A walk in, I could see, but you should be taking better care of your reservation customers.
