NOW OPEN! Altamirano Restaurant & Bar is a new Peruvian restaurant, conveniently located in the NOPA neighborhood of San Francisco. Open the door to a spacious bar that flows seamlessly into the luxe dining room, with the exhibition kitchen in full view. Meander outside to the dynamic outdoor dining courtyard, featuring a fire pit, ample seating, a bar, and a TV to watch your favorite sports teams. Led by a team of culinary and hospitality professionals, service is comfortable yet elevated.
Overseen by Chef Carlos Altamirano and led by Chef Eric Chumacero, the menu is a modern take on the flavors of Peru. Bold tastes and unique preparations will delight your senses and pop on your palette. Drinks highlight traditional Peruvian ingredients but with a contemporary twist.

Location was great we were able to park on the same block. The service was phenomenal. It almost felt like a Michelin star restaurant from the service. The food was very tasty and well portioned. Would definitely come back.

What a great Peruvian restaurant addition to SF. Ambiance: excellent, Noise level: Fantastic, Food: Delicious, Service: Outstanding. As a South American, I’m often searching for South American food. And I am very happy with this restaurant. Will continue to return to provide more reviews. What we ate: Ají de pollo/gallina, Lomo saltado, Chicken skewers, and Pisco sours (maracuya and chicha mora).

Went with family party of 7 which grew to a party of 9 as two driving up for Thanksgiving from LA we’re going to arrive in time. Restaurant was super flexible and able to accommodate us. Back area is listed as “outside” but feels like an indoor area, it’s covered and there are heaters that make it toasty. Great for groups. Food and service was excellent. Recommended!

Everything that we ordered was wonderful! Very tasty dishes and beautiful presentation! Service was absolutely great! Everyone was very friendly and cheerful! We were there for my daughter's birthday and had a fantastic time!

Delicious food and incredible service. Very unique and playful dishes with wonderful flavors. Highly recommend their smoked old fashioned and steak! The atmosphere was impressive and the covered outdoor patio was warm and inviting with modern reclaimed wood and numerous space heaters. Would definitely return!

Lovely dinner. The food was great and the service was friendly and very attentive. Very accommodating for one of our guests who is gluten-free. We will definitely be back!

10/10 recommend this spot if you love Peruvian food! Found this restaurant on SF restaurant week, even though we didn’t go off that menu because we wanted to try the other items on their menu. Loved everything we ordered: ahi tuna ceviche, chipotle shrimp toast, lomo Saltado, and the churro sandwich and tiramisu were AMAZING. We were blown away, excited to come back
