    The Italian-American tradition of the Feast of the Seven Fishes celebrates the coastal heritage of Italian cuisine and the bounty of the holiday season. Alta Via invites you to participate in a Feast of the Seven Fishes tasting menu for one night only, Monday, December 23rd. The full Feast of the Seven Fishes menu is available to view online at www.altaviapgh.com. Please note that this is a family-style tasting menu; the a la carte menu will not be available to guests reserving a table for the Feast of the Seven Fishes. When making your reservation, please note any allergies or dietary restrictions so we can ensure the best experience possible for you and your guests. We can't wait to celebrate with you this holiday season!

    This was our first time eating at Alta Via. My son and his wife were visiting from out of town for the holidays, and I wanted to treat them to a special meal before we attended the theater. From the moment we arrived, everything was outstanding: seating us at just the right table, explaining the menu and wine list, and helping us pick just the right appetizers and entrées. Our waitress, Sammy, was fantastic. Every part of our meal, from the wine to our appetizers of buratta and olives, our entrées, and the tiramisu we shared, we’re incredibly delicious. We’ll be back … soon!

    Great food! A little loud, but still good. We enjoyed the experience but even our server had a hard time hearing us. Don’t go here for a quiet evening out. :-)

    Alta Via is our favorite Pittsburgh restaurant for Italian cuisine. An extensive menu (including gluten free selections) ensure everyone will find dishes to enjoy. The food is well prepared & nicely presented. Service is attentive & friendly. Bravo!

    Brooke was our server and she was awesome! She made sure we had everything we needed through the entire lunch. The food was amazing and we love coming here for our business lunches!

    The food is always phenomenal here. And it is the perfect place to go during the holidays because it’s right next to ice skating at PPG and Market Square.

    Upon arriving the hostess barely raised her head to acknowledge we were there. She was too busy playing on a tablet. Server was okay, did bare minimum, example, we were never asked if we wanted a second drink. Food was very good. Love smaller pasta portions. Should also do this with salads.

    Excellent place for brunch before the theatre. Pasta portion was small but very good. Gem salad was delicious. Italian mule was a nice addition.

    Had a lovely family brunch to celebrate our daughter's college acceptance. Food and drinks were great! Our server (Corinne) was really attentive and really sweet. The ambience is great--especially around the holidays because you can see the PPG ice skating rink outside.
