Long before there was a boardwalk, friends Alonzo Cothron & Berlin Felton’s original establishment was a fish house. Boats would pull up right outside and throw the fish straight in!
We’ve changed a little since then, but the most important thing remains the same - guests can still kick back and experience the freshest, locally caught seafood in one hand, a cold beverage in the other, soak in the view, and watch the world go by.

We were a bit too early for Happy Hour (4pm-6pm) so prices were higher. We had 6 oysters and 1/2 lb of peel and eat shrimp and it was so fresh and delicious. The service was great, attentive but not overbearing, and everyone was so friendly. I would definitely go back!

I had a great dinner!!! Got seated by the marina outdoors I totally recommend it! Great views and the weather was perfect today. We got the stone crab which are seasonal and if they are when your here get them the mustard sauce is amazing with them! Also had to get some oysters, we did the ones with caviar and they were divine. For our entrée, we got the fried snapper and it had a side of rice and beans with a mango salsa and a tartar sauce, and it was the perfect size. We finished everything. We were totally full at the end, but not overwhelmed. The food was great. Service was good. Will totally come back when I’m down in the keys.

We asked for dressing dressing on the side on two different occasions and kitchen soaked the salad. Had to send it back. Service was good.

Service was great. Deborah was very attentive and made helpful suggestions on what to eat. The food was subpar and who puts fried hogfish over mash potatoes and mash potatoes over green beans. Set them aside and apart from one another. Mixed drinks had very little alcohol. To boot, everything was overpriced. $38 for that food and $17 for that poorly constructed mixed drink. Open table had this at two $$?!? Do not recommend Alonzo’s.

We had a wonderful dinner meal in Key West, and it wasn't at this place. I am not usually this harsh in my reviews, but seriously, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere, like the Red Shoe Island Bistro instead. Here is why. We spent a grand total of $200 (food, tax, some weird extra charges, tip i didn't want to leave.but did) for a meal here for the two of us. 1 alcohol drink a piece, 2 appetizers, and 2 dinners. The drinks were good. The steamed clam app was ok. The peel and eat shrimp (1/2 lb) were overcooked but edible - cocktail sauce needed more horseradish. I've had better. The lobster mac and cheese was bland with one small half tail of lobster that was overcooked on top. There are no noticeable lobster bits in the mac itself. The lobster tail dinner was the worst. The lobster was a good size but they way overcooked it to the point I couldn't cut through it with a knife. Not sure what made the rice that came with it "island" but it had no flavor with a few onions mixed in and topped with flavorless green beans. Not worth $56. To top it off, our waitress only came by once during our appetizers to see how things were. She did not come by to ask how the dinner was or if we would like more drinks. We spent $223 (included tax and a generous tip) the night prior at Red Shoe Island and had the most amazing experience. They serve an amuse-bouche, amd we ordered a bottle of wine, shared appetizer, 2 amazing dinner entrees with fresh/perfectly prepared seafood, 2 desserts, and topped it off with two glasses of wonderful 25 year old ports. If you are a foodie, skip Alanzo's. If you want subpar or inedible food with a view, then choose Alanzo's.

Great happy hour experience! Great drinks and quick service. Can't beat the view on the marina, highly recommend!
