We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings.

Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees.

I love this place. They have delicious high quality food and exceptional service. This is my go to brunch restaurant in the area.

Stopped in after the symphony and had a piece of the lemon meringue pie and a few drinks. Server was friendly and knowledgeable.

The food was delicious. Highly recommend the fried chicken; a generous portion, juicy, crispy and complimented by the zippy hot sauce on the side. The truffle burger was charred on the outside and med-rare on the inside; my husband said the charred outside taste was too strong and took away from the truffle taste. Enjoyed the sides we ordered; from the crispy butternut squash (slightly crispy on the outside, soft and melty on the inside), to the (salty) triple cooked fries. Our server was attentive and made some good suggestions. Overall, really enjoyed our dinner out.

Went for brunch - food was BOMB. music was a little loud, but will definitely want to come here for dinner. its a very cozy/intimate spot as well.

Steak was way over done. We ordered a medium but come in as well done. Some part are like beef jerky. We told the waitress but she just said OK and no apology or didn’t offer to re do the steak. Other than this, this place is good.

Great food, service and vibe! Love the lamb skewer and foie gras, I wish wedge salad had more dressing. Complimentary brioche is the best bread I’ve ever tried! 10/10
