We invite guests to relax in a space accented by reclaimed wood, — sourced from the oldest building in Denver — clay-inspired wall treatment, an abundance of plants that evoke the feeling of Mexico City, and artisan finds from Johnny’s home state of Guadalajara.

Most dishes were delicious! Guacamole, and scallops were excellent. The lamb shank was very nice in Moroccan spices. The Halibut was only ok. Not so flavorful. I do not recommend the Chorizo or sweet potato appetizers. Every item was spicy even though they said they weren’t so if you don’t eat spice, this isn’t the place for you. Staff was exceptional as was service. Portions were individual although they said we should order 2 of each course for 4 ppl. We left a bit hungry. Overall interesting and flavorful food.

Best date night spot in Denver! Fabulous food, service, and drinks. Mocktails were 10/10 as well.

I went for my birthday with an 11 year old and we had a wonderful time. The food was amazing and gave me some ideas to level up my Mexican recipes. It was cozy, comfortable, friendly and delicious. I love that they don't have dessert.

I will admit, I have high expectations. But seeing as Alma is talked about so highly, I thought it was warranted. We were there for my birthday and the service was really great. However, the server kept placing the spoon on the left and fork on the right when resilvering the table in between courses. I’d expect more from a Michelin start restaurant. The food was good but the only things that blew me away were the sourdough tortillas and scallop crudo. We got the guacamole and the tortilla chips that were served with it were hard as rocks. I love crunchy things but they were so hard it could crack a tooth. Avocado marg was pretty good, but it was just a creamier margarita. Overall, the food was good, and the service was nice, but I don’t think the value was there. I think you find more authentic food that’s just as good with better portion sizes.

Our server, Rebecca, made dining here a delight. She inquired about our basic preferences, and we let her guide us through the menu and select everything for us. Everything she served was delicious and wonderful. As we were leaving, we were already planning our next visit.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal there. Each course was better than the last! Might not have ordered the halibut or the sirloin and instead paid more attention to the smaller bites. The sauces were amazing, the guacamole out of this world! Highly highly recommend! Service was impeccable, friendly, informative, fun. I’m picky about my margaritas and there’s were amazing! We also tried the avocado. Margarita, delicious!

Absolutely insane food, service and ambiance. The tuna crudo was to die for. My husband said it was the best food item he’s ever eaten. Highly recommend sitting at the chefs counter!! Love it and hope to be back again

Absolutely delicious, very unique preparations of classic Mexican dishes. The staff are attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Our dishes came out quickly but hot and fresh. The cocktails are stupendous (Sweet Corn or Avocado Margs!) We love this place.
