El chef ejecutivo Matt Bata ofrece su interpretación culinaria de un buen restaurante moderno de cortes finos estadounidense con toques de influencias internacionales por todo el menú. El establecimiento cuenta con cortes clásicos como el ribeye, lomo de ternera, y filete miñón, así como mariscos sostenibles, los característicos Hamachi Shots (shots preparados son sake, aguacate, pimiento y soya), y una gran selección de Wagyu (una raza de vaca originaria de Japón). Otros platillos destacados de Alexander's son los preparados con filetes añejados en seco, además de ofrecer los mejores y más lujosos productos disponibles, incluyendo 2 menús deliciosos y la carta extensa de vinos diseñada por el director de vinos, Andy Brady. Sin duda alguna un perfecto lugar para dos, la música es perfecta y el sabor de la comida es exquisita. Precio justo para un lugar fino en la ciudad de Pasadena. Los meseros muestran un gran servicio, muy atentos todo el tiempo.

The steaks were excellent, as was the fried rice. Delicious cocktails and a solid wine selection.

Beautiful restaurant and ambiance. Service was perhaps best we have ever experienced. This really is a steakhouse so be aware that other entrees are limited. I ordered the cod and it was very good. Another in our party ordered a steak and she said it was perfectly done. Location is very good next to the beautiful Pasadena city hall. There is ample underground parking with some validation by the restaurant. I definitely recommend this restaurant for those that want red meat.

Overall we had a fantastic experience here including delicious food and drinks. They celebrated my husbands birthday which was a nice touch.

Hi. Previously spend my 40th here. Which was fantastic. And when our anniversary came up. Of course we wanted to celebrate here as well. Service great from the host, server, expeditor, busser.... Perfect. So warm and you can tell people enjoy working at AS. The food unfortunately didnt hit the mark as I was expecting. We did go out on a limb with the chefs tasting but felt we should have shared the 28oz bone in and couple of sides So heres just a quick review: Hamachi shooter. Excellent. so fresh and i love the bite of the vinegar! Beet salad. Surprisingly my absolute favorite part of the meal . Great combination of flavors and textures. The cheese phenomenal. And pistachio vinaigrette bomb. The uni/salmon roe. It was okay. I normally don't eat uni so understand that but you have to experience what the chef wants us to experience right? So I went for it.. Roe was a bit too salty, uni was fresh and the best part. The 'steam egg' portion I think that's what it was, was bland. Maybe mixing the roe would've made it better overall? Least favorite part of meal. Pork kakuni. Portion was little too big. I felt it was a meal in itself. It was slightly dry despite the lovely piece of pork fat (the best part btw). The skin was not crispy enough, rubbery and hard to chew. Not a fan favorite. A5 waygu. Cooked more rare than I like. Red throughout. Wouldve like more med rare. But luckily the part of the experience. The cut was ok, had a strip of cartilage in the middle. the sear was uneven. Pumpkin cheesecake and ice cream. Second favorite part. So good. Worth coming back for the cheesecake. The cotton candy always a nice touch and the service makes up for any shortcomings. Overall. Ill skip chef tasting next time. Id dive into the waygu menu and bone in ribeye. Two sides and a beet salad. Split between you and your date. We'll be back for sure. But we'll skip the tasting and go straight at the waygu!

Food is always fantastic here. Holiday parties made things a little noisy on this visit. They made our celebration special, though. EVERY dish we had was delicious! Starters - Hamachi Shots (a fav!) - Wagyu Beef Tartare (delicious!) - Grilled Spanish Octopus (perfectly done) - Chilled Oysters (wonderful!) Mains - Filet Mignon - Wagyu Bone In Rib Eye (Absolute Heaven) Sides and Enhancements - Bone Marrow - Sauces (Chimichurri, Blue, 1A) - Sides (Brussels Sprouts/Mushrooms/MacCheese) Desserts - Clouds of Apple - Pumpkin Cheesecake - Triple Chocolate Delight - Butterscotch Crème Brûlée Knowledgeable Sommelier and excellent pairings

I was with my 17 year old grandchildren after seeing the Nutcracker, we had a reservation. The restaurant was empty yet we were taken to a banquet room in the back with banquet tables and chairs. No Christmas decorations, very stark. I ordered a Gibson and got a Gimlet. The filet was raw, l ordered medium rare and it it wasn’t very good . Nothing on the menu for my vegetarian granddaughter, no chicken or salmon. Everything ala carte, steak on a plate by itself, they could at least put a bit of something on the plate. Very expensive and disappointing.
