This was our first time dining at Al Dente. Staff were very attentive and food was served hot & fresh. My husband’s Osso Buco was outstanding. From the mussels appetizer to the creme brûlée dessert, we were pleased our dining experience. Portions were generous and the prices reasonable. This place is a hidden gem tucked away in the lower level of the old Mountain Lodge.

Our waiter, javi, was awesome. The bartender Roth was great as well and makes a nice old fashioned

Hair in my son’s food. Took 15 minutes to get the rest of our food after everyone else was served. Service was very slow. Will not return.

We had a pleasant family meal while visiting Snowshoe. We stayed in Mountain Lodge and it was very convenient. We found it better than when we visited the year prior. The lobster ravioli was delicious. Worth the stop, especially if you’re staying in the ML.

Unfortunately, we have to rate this low. Despite the excuses offered by the Manager and a free dessert to try to smooth things over the lack of service and poor quality/taste of the food just could not be overcome. There are only a couple of options at Snowshoe Resort for reservations and, with a party of 8, just after New Year's, we felt we needed one. We waited a half hour past our reservation time to be seated, then 40 minutes for anything but water and bread. With that time, we could have waited over an hour for a table at a better place with no reservations. THey seemed to be very understaffed and the food was bland at best.

Al Dente is a hidden gem on the mountain. Really excellent Italian food—some of the best I’ve had at a restaurant—and reasonably priced. Great place for families with good kids options, and high quality food for everyone.

Food and services were okay. What you would expect for a ski resort, don’t go expecting gourmet and you won’t be disappointed.

Menu, atmosphere, and staff were great! Javi was our server and he is quite entertaining. When you go thru the main entrance at Mountain Lodge, take the elevator down to floor ‘CC.’ Turn left off the elevator, pass the stairs, and go thru the door.
