ABOUT AKIRA

The Japanese restaurant, AKIRA, presents a dining experience based on its ‘trinity of cooking’ principles - food, tableware, and presentation.

Highlights of the menu include imaginative sushi specialties and chargrilled kushiyaki skewers made from umami-rich wagyu beef, seafood, and vegetables.

AKIRA was nominated for Best Luxury Restaurant, Best Culinary Experience, and Best Restaurant London at the 2022 British Restaurant Awards.

We welcome diners from the age of 4. We may occasionally be able to accommodate babies, but the number of highchairs available is limited, please contact the restaurant in advance to check if this will be possible.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.

Deliciosa comida, el Bento box de sushi es espectacular. Las croquetas igual son excelentes y el postre de crepas matcha necesario de probar.

Gran parte de los elementos del obento preparados con mucha antelación y con "sabor a frigorífico", pero el sashimi de gran calidad. Servicio impersonal y distante. Relación calidad-precio muy mala. En absoluto se justifican los precios de la carta.

We had a brilliant dinner at AKIRA last Thursday. We opted for the 5 course wagyu menu and it was superb, especially the sashimi box and the wagyu with sushi and miso. The food was excellent. The service was impeccable with a great wine choice recommended to us. This is not a cheap meal but great value for the variety and quality. The whole experience was superb.

This was our first visit to Akira. The sushi bento box and wagyu beef salad we had for lunch was as good as any we have had outside Japan and a really worthwhile experience, especially coupled with a trip to the Japan House exhibition, "Looks Delicious".
