Akbar's established in 1995 with 12 branches in the UK now opens it's doors in Blackburn with the most vibrant interior design located at King Georges' Hall. Authentic curry at it's best open from 5pm Monday to Sunday. Come and try our signature lamb chops, karahi dishes, giant nan bread and a very carefully selected choice of wines, beer and spirits. Not to forget our range of mocktails. Why not celebrate that special event in style by booking our VIP room accommodating up to 16 people.

Food and overall experience good until we were given another tables bill. If we hadn’t have noticed we’d have been charged more than double and had to write out our own bill on the back of a receipt.

First visit of a table of 4, we got seated really quickly and given menus straight away, took our drinks orders and they were on the table not long after. The food arrived piping hot, and lots of it, the Naan breadnis big enough to share. The food was really tasty. Would definitely recommend a visit

Good range of menu, we were a table of 4 adults all choosing something different. All meals were tasty but despite being medium heat were spicier than anticipated so take care when ordering. Service was superb & our waiter couldn’t do enough. Polite, attentive & friendly Would definitely recommend Prices were not budget but moderate

Terrible was seated near the bar that was constantly busy with people passing our table. Food was just warm took it home to microwave it

The place was gorgeous inside. The food was standard and not mind blowing. It could have been presented better, all dishes were served in the pan with the spoon they were cooked with, with oil splatters all over the spoon. I thought this was quite a lazy way of doing things, also as they were served in the pans, there was no space left on the tables, which was a bit uncomfortable to enjoy your meal. As it was quite busy they did seem to be rushing us to pay and leave, but I understand that part as it was a busy Saturday night. Overall, there are many other great curry places and Akbar’s Blackburn would not be worth another visit for me or my family/ friends.

This is my 5th visit since the restaurant opened...it is our favourite restaurant. Not only is the food excellent, the staff are attentive and prompt and the restaurant is super clean...keep up the good work guys!
