Chefs Patrick Pham and Daniel Lee have over 25 years of combined experience in Japanese cuisine and sushi. They established their culinary careers in Houston where they worked together for years before creating their own restaurants.

Pham and Lee teamed up to bring new curated dining concepts to Houston’s food scene and kicked off a series of omakase pop-up dinners called Secret Taste. Pham and Lee then opened Kokoro in the Bravery Chef Hall in Downtown Houston followed by Handies Douzo in the Houston Heights.

Aiko is the newest concept from the team featuring a sushi bar and seated dining.

De los mejores restaurantes de comida japonés que he probado!! La calidad y el sabor. de la comida excelente, la atención muy buena. Sin duda lo recomiendo y volveremos!!

This is our favorite place in Houston for a reason - they always make you feel so welcome and we can’t help but have a great time. The food is 11/10, ambiance is great, drinks delicious. What more can you want? Sit at the bar for the best time

Incredible! There was literally nothing that didn’t blow our mind with each bite! Everything was fresh and the flavor combos are perfect. The amberjack nigiri was probably my favorite piece…but everything from the salmon to the madai and the scallop piece were WOW. The tuna crudo is amazing. The karage chicken even wowed us! The shishito peppers too. We sat at the sushi bar with Jesus and he was so friendly and awesome even when we walked in very close to closing between lunch and dinner. Can’t wait to go back!

there are a lot of great sushi places in houston, and aiko is definitely one you can’t miss. highly recommend the hamachi crudo, spicy tuna handroll, saketoro aburi nigiri, and the nasu yaki.

My first time checking out Aiko and I was very impressed. Food, service and atmosphere is everything we needed for a girls night out. I would also say that it’s a perfect place for a date night. We ordered off the menu and averaged out to be about $100 person before tip. Full belly and a fun time. I will definitely return!

Another amazing meal at Aiko. Trinity is the best and recommended wonderful cocktails that we have not tried.

Aiko is one of my favorite places in Houston! I celebrated my birthday here and the team made it special. The food was fresh and the drinks were delicious. I highly suggest going the omakase here!

Aiko is a fantastic spot for sushi and a perfect choice for a girls’ night out! The service was absolutely incredible—the staff was attentive, accommodating, and understanding of our being 10 minutes late. The ambiance was beautiful, clean, and had a fresh, new vibe that added to the experience. We started with the fried chicken appetizer, which was absolutely delicious—highly recommend it! The edamame was tasty too, but it’s definitely a smaller portion, ideal for two people to share. For sushi, the Negitoro, Hamachi, and Wagyu Maki were phenomenal—so flavorful and fresh. The spicy tuna, however, fell short and wasn’t as impressive. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return to enjoy Aiko’s amazing service and standout dishes!
