Tried Agave and Rye for the first time on 1/11/25. Tacos were really good, with unique combos and reasonable prices for taco flights. Unique cocktails and margs, would like to try so many more. Service was meh when they weren’t very busy and guacamole was gross. You can get better/fresher guacamole at Chipotle. This stuff seemed prepackaged and definitely not made in house. Would get takeout for their tacos, but likely wouldn’t eat inside again.

Issue with computer caused a long delay in getting our food. Our server was excellent and explained the issue, apologized and offered for us to speak to the manager. Dip trio, fantastic, Birria egg rolls great, food hot when served.

Unfortunately, I can’t really speak to the food since, after an hour, we had only had the chips and dip (which you have to order as chips and salsa are not provided as is usual). Service was extremely slow. I understand it was NYE but even with that, I don’t think that food should take over an hour. The AGM was a bit “snide” when we approached about closing out without our order. We said we’d been waiting an hour and the response was “I sat you 48 minutes ago”. The server never checked in on us as we just sat there. Had to flag her down anytime we wanted anything. She said we were “next up” with our food and then 15 minutes later, still nothing. The menu items LOOKED good but we never got to taste. Upon leaving, I checked my parking app and we had been there for more than an hour and a half, with only drinks and chips/salsa to show for it.

I never write poor reviews, but my girlfriend and I came in on a Sunday night, it was pretty empty so noise was low. We ordered queso which was decent, my girlfriend and I both ordered taco flights and got six different tacos. To be honest everything was not the greatest, I truly appreciate the creativity, which is why I chose Agave and Rye for our date night, but it was poorly executed. Our tacos were lukewarm at best and had too much going on. Service was good overall, though she never checked in on us to see how anything was, which could be because there were only two servers and we came in before peak hours. Besides that, she was very pleasant and I never blame servers for food, ambiance, and/or value. I was truly hoping for a new and unique taco spot to go to often, but was more than disappointed.

Modern mexican in a less than cozy environment. Booths, set up and decor don't do this place any favors. Service was very slow. Tacos are extreme with ingredients and flavors, but good. Queso was good as well. This place attracts the younger crowd. Margaritas were good, but very sweet and acidic.
