A longstanding tradition at Hotel Vancouver, Notch8 is delighted to welcome guests for Afternoon Tea service from Wednesday through Sunday!

If your tiny tot is joining, we offer a Children's Tea featuring kid-friendly finger sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats. Afternoon Tea is served from Wednesday through Sunday only.

We are pleased to offer options catering to guests with specific dietary restrictions such as gluten-free, as well as dietary preferences including vegetarian diets. Please notify us at time of booking and we will be delighted to facilitate.

There is a 90 minute time limit for each reservation, if you have any questions or concerns prior to your visit please let us know.

Notch8 at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver invites guests to indulge in a new themed Afternoon Tea experience to commemorate the return of spring and the enchanting Cherry Blossoms that canopy over the city. Seatings at 11am, 1pm, 3pm - 90-minute seating. $75 per adult, $45 per child aged 12 and under - price not inclusive of taxes and gratuities. Cancellation policy & reservation changes: kindly email HVC.Notch8@Fairmont.com a minimum of 48 hours prior to reservation to avoid a cancellation fee of $25 per person.

Afternoon tea is typically meant to be a relaxed slow pace outing to be enjoyed over a few hours. Even though we knew these were 1.5 hour timeslots, we were rushed from the moment we sat down. They basically wanted you out within an hour so they could actually do the next seating at 1.5 hours. They were constantly rushing us. My recommendation to Notch 8 is increase the timeframe to at least 2 hours so that it can be a more enjoyable experience, and my advice to real afternoon tea enthusiasts is to simply skip this pop-up.

Our serve Serge was lovely and made the whole experience more than I could ask for while celebrating my best friends birthday. Thank you Serge for your incredible personality and kindness. You made the experience with the nice tea, savouries and sweets.

We were a party of three, and enjoyed a wonderful tea in their cherry blossom themed tea room. Loved the secret door and all of the flowers! Waiter was friendly and helpful, but had to be asked multiple times for jam as we three were only given one set. And had to follow up on a request for the price of a tin of tea. The waiter did however bring multiple rounds of hot water to top us off and offered boxes for take home leftovers. The tea itself was delicious! A nice blend of modern and classic touches with the menu. Loved the experience!

The environment was outstanding. My mum and I love high tea so when my mums birthday rolled around this year I knew that this would make her feel extra special ! (And it did!) She loved the theme of cherry blossoms and all the decor was on point. Absolutely stunning. Only disappointments for us personally, was that it was quite a fish forward menu. we don’t mind the hints of fish but some things were too fishy and salty. The desserts were hit and miss as well. Service was average. They were accommodating with allergies and surprised us with a macaroon for her birthday but there was no checking on us or anything. We would still return but with the price tag running us a cheeky $300+ this is a luxury, and a special occasion based event!

Went there for the lunar afternoon tea last year and came back this year for the cherry blossom afternoon tea. Absolutely gorgeous and the food was amazing. The staff was absolutely lovely, especially our server, loved her energy and she was extremely sweet and accommodating to our needs. 10/10 service, food, and ambience. Would definitely recommend to those who want a special afternoon tea experience, instead of your average cup-of-joe.

First time at afternoon tea at the Fairmont. I enjoyed it very much! I went during the Cherry Blossom theme. I got the First Blush cocktail and the Sencha Kyoto CherryRose tea. I didn’t think I would get full from the food but I did! The tea room was beautifully decorated as well.
