It was fabulous from the moment we arrived. I had booked it mainly for my sister in laws 60th birthday but it was also for my daughter and soon to be daughter in law who also have November birthdays.
My sister in law was surprised with a special happy birthday extra treat which was so nice.
Food was amazing and all the staff were so attentive.
Would recommend the Fitzwilliam for afternoon tea.

Best aftn tea I have had .So much choice ,everthing was delicious .Soup was so good .We each brought home 4 sweet treats each as we cudnt eat anything more.Service was second to none ,nothing was too much trouble .Highly recommend and will definitely book again

The food and service were excellent. However it was served in the lobby with people coming in and out which spoiled the ambience somewhat. Also the table was rather low. But all in all it was a really nice experience.

The Hotel was welcoming and every staff member was helpful and attentive. We were seated in the restaurant which was very quiet at the time we went. The food and drinks served were excellent. There was enough that we had to ask for some to brought home. We were there for a Birthday which was recognised by the staff and they were always nearby if we needed anything. Overall I would recommend it and would go again.

Wonderful experience only feedback was it was in the lobby and with the distribution of the roadworks outside it ruined the atmosphere

Was put in the reception area on sofa and low table was not comfortable at all people walking past us from their rooms not appropriate or comfortable setting food tasted bland sausage roll was like rubber glass with water in it had something floating in it had to ask for it to be changed wrap was soggy bread was hard scone was not fresh nor was the cakes so disappointed

Amazing service and afternoon tea, first time coming here and won't be the last! Such good value, were able to take our leftovers home as well so nice treat for later on too. Really nice decor and ambience and the lady that mostly served us was so friendly and welcoming

We had Crafternoon Tea on Sunday for my partners 50th, it was amazing! Anna who served it was lovely and so helpful! So many friend messaged me after seeing the pics asking what it was and where it was, would definitely recommend. I have had afternoon Tea also in the Fitzwilliam and it was so nice also. Next time definitely need to stay over
