"Abacus bar & kitchen is a cafe concept that could and should be replicated and enjoyed all around the world.

It has embraced the 'all day dining' model with a breakfast menu that transforms into snacks and evening dining making it an option for any mood or customer. It also has a fully licensed drinks list and al fresco seating to suit the late afternoon spritz while people watching as one of Melbourne's busiest strips passes you by.

Very pleasant environment. Clearly very popular as busy at 1pm, lunchtime. Food was honest and well presented. Would recommend.

Not much topping for the pasta. Hospitality of the staff is pretty cold. Feel like they don’t want to be there to serve customers. Not very attentive. Won’t be coming back.

Great food and customer service, but the music threw me off a little and the pasta portion was lacking. Quality of ingredients were amazing and overall delicious flavours.

booked a 7:45pm reservation. had to wait outside until 8:45 to even be allowed onto our table. specifically notified them that had a gluten free member, had to wait another 45 minutes before we got any food even tho we pre-ordered because “they weren’t prepared for someone to be gluten free”. really poor service but it was a nice looking venue with decent food.

The overall experience of the night was fantastic and the service we received from one of the blokes was top tier with fantastic drink recommendations. Would gladly come back to this restaurant

Staffs were friendly but needs to be more attentive with serving more water. Wasn't a very busy night either. Food was fair, can't really complain much about steak night with the price, the steak was quite chewy and hard to chew despite ordering Medium Rare. It's not a rump cut but scotch, so it shouldn't be that hard to chew. Can't complain much, but that's just an honest review.
