I had the same server each time. He gives the impression that he is overwhelmed and pulled everywhere, and this is why he can't bring drinks in a timely fashion. This time, I stopped a different server, and she brought water and condiments he came pass us multiple times and ignored eye contact but at the end gives the bill with a gratuity for a party of 3. When asked, he came up with an outlandish story about why gratuity was automatic on such a small party. I took my receipt to the front, and it was immediately removed. I tipped the server, which was accommodating. This is the only concern I have with this establishment is this particular server diminishes the character and reputation of this establishment

The set up was a bit weird, it was where seating normally is. The live music that I was looking forward to Mr. Alvin was TBA (never showed) but there wasn't any music playing at all to create any type of ambiance. Food was mediocre, they were short staffed and it showed through the service (waitress). Games were on but no sound, our reservations was for 1230p. The omelet and waffle bar was set up separate from the rest of the food. The buffet line was on 2 different sides instead of one continuous line for easier access and flow to food. This was my second visit because my first was so amazing, but it's definitely my last.

Oh my gosh!! The BEST BRUNCH I’ve been to in a long time. The shrimp and grits are outstanding, amazing, a definitely must try. Alvin the singer was so gracious and just an absolute pleasure to listen to. I can not wait to go back.

The atmosphere was very nice. Customer service was great and the food was very tasty. I would recommend 1899 to my family and friends anytime!

The Sunday Brunch was excellent! Very nice selections & especially the fresh waffles with fresh fruit. Along with the omelette station. The chef was great, you could tell he enjoyed cooking up fresh food. Our server was very attentive & kind. It was a great brunch & environment.

We went to the Sunday. Brunch. There was a variety of fresh food. That was also hot. The presentation was great. The service was outstanding. We will definitely visit again.

The idea over a thanksgiving dinner buffet was great but the food wasn’t all that good . The brunch buffet was better.

We sat at the bar for brunch and Vinny was amazing! The drinks, food, service, and music were all top tier! We will definitely be back!
