Named for the year that Dr. John Anderson purchased the land upon which the resort now stands, 1796 Room has now been re-launched as a signature steak and chophouse, serving steaks, chops, fish and poultry of the highest quality.

1796 uses only the highest quality 21-day aged USDA prime beef. Our meats are prepared at 1700° on our infrared broiler ensuring juiciness, tenderness and flavor.

Our world-class wine list is designed to match the quality of our food selection, and our professional staff is trained to recommend the perfect wine pairing with your meal.

Jordan was amazing. Food was great and huge portions. Two of us could have eaten off my entree and my husbands. Delightful evening.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at 1796 - the food and atmosphere were excellent as was the service from our waiter James. Would definitely recommend as a place to go for any celebration or just a nice night out. The decorations at the hotel and on the grounds were also amazing this time of year (December).

Very cozy dinner (we sat in a booth in the back corner which we LOVED)! Wagyu filet was delicious! Service was excellent! Highly recommend!

We had another excellent dining experience at The 1796 Room. This time we brought friends with us from Philadelphia and they agreed they had the best steaks ever! I once again enjoyed the crab cakes. We love the carrots and spinach and got those again. This time we ended our meal with carrot cake. Wow!!! Service was once again outstanding. We look forward to returning again in the future and bringing more friends.

Wonderful Thanksgiving dining experience! The food was excellent, but just as important, the service was top notch. Premium restaurant all around. I highly recommend!

Slightly disappointed. Ordered my steak well done, but it came out medium. didn’t appreciate sitting at a table facing another table because it felt like they were looking at our food the entire time. Dessert menu (4 items) was very disappointing. Considering the pastry chefs they have, and the cost, I’d expect a better selection
