Somos conscientes de que la palabra "fusión" se ha utilizado para justificar cualquier plato, desde las hamburguesas hula de piña a la lasaña mexicana. Sin embargo, la fusión entre Este y Sur del Poor Calvin's es creativa e innovadora y probablemente algo que jamás haya probado en Atlanta. Su cocina es el original resultado de los viajes por todo el mundo de Calvin Phan. De este modo, los macarrones con queso quedan aderezados con especias tailandesas. El Calvin's también propone clásicos sureños, como robalo y pollo frito con un toque asiático y picante. Parecía imposible mejorar los tradicionales macarrones con queso, hasta que probamos la interpretación del Calvin's, que añade langosta y especias tailandesas. Calvin Phan mantiene esta misma visión emprendedora en todos sus platos día a día, con una entrega y atención al detalle evidente en cada uno de sus platos y postres. Merece la pena.

Que gran experiencia. De no ser por el ruido y porque les urge que comas y te vayas se sacaran un 10. Super ruidoso. Pedí el mejor pato que he probado. Los platos están bastante bien servidos. El old fashion esta genial. El postre de cheese cake...uts!!! Ojalá puedan ir a una hora donde no haya tanta gente.

Poor Calvin’s exceeded our expectations! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and attentive, making us feel truly welcomed. Our server was knowledgeable and made great recommendations. We started with the seafood spring rolls, which were perfectly crispy and packed with flavor. For our entrées, we had the Pad Thai with duck and lobster—an amazing combination of rich, tender duck and sweet lobster with just the right amount of spice. The fried chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy, paired with the decadent lobster mac & cheese and well-seasoned greens. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were on point. We will definitely be back for another amazing dining experience! Highly recommend!

My time here made me appreciate Atlanta again. Such an amazing experience ! Thank you to the chef and staff for the outstanding food and exceptional service. There wasn’t one bad moment of my meal. Everything was better than I could have imagined. From the moment I was greeted at the door to the staff clearing the table at the end of the meal, everything was seamless, professional, and polite. I can’t wait to come here again. Hats off…10/10.

Absolutely amazing!! Poor Calvin’s is surely becoming my favorite restaurant in Downtown Atlanta. Whenever I’m in the area I have to stop by. Had the sweetest waitress tonight— Linda— she was very pleasant and friendly. Loved her!! I had the German-inspired lamb tenderloin special tonight, came with shrimp, potatoes, broccolini, and 2 amazing sauces— the mango ketchup was my fave. The best part of the night Chef Calvin himself served me my entree…. It truly made the experience special. The night was topped off by their delicious ginger cake… huge portion with all the yummy goodness you can imagine. Had to take the rest home after a few bites. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area. Kudos Chef, kudos!! Hardest working chef in town apparently; my waitress shared the story of how the restaurant got its name… ask your wait staff next time you go; it’s an endearing story that’ll make you love this place even more.

Poor Calvin’s rarely disappointed!! One of my favorite restaurants in ATL! Every time I am in town I have to go check out the new dish and it almost always perfect!
