Original Joe's is a place that welcomes everyone. We have craveable classics for lunch or dinner, down-to-earth vibes and a friendly team looking to brighten your day! Original Joe's Unicity is located just inside the perimeter highway on Portage Avenue West. We've been catering to Winnipeg's St. James neighbourhood for nearly a decade. Our patio is one of the largest in this part of the city (you'll have to come check it out) and boasts a beautiful exterior TV to watch summer sporting events on. We're a short drive away from the Assiniboia Downs where you can enjoy live horse racing or the Bell MTS Iceplex, which is open year-round. You can take in a few rounds of golf at the Glen Dale Golf & Country Club or visit the Red River Exhibition Park for various events. Wherever you decide to spend your time in Unicity, you can never go wrong by ending (or starting) your day with OJ's. Our patio welcomes dogs along with good vibes!

The Silver Heights Restaurant opened its doors at 2169 Portage Avenue in June, 1957. Former cabbie Anthony Siwicki Sr. had no idea it would still be going strong today! His operating philosophy was simple: “Provide your guests with quick and friendly service, and to serve fresh, delicious quality food at a reasonable price”…and to keep it that way. The restaurant is now in its third generation going forward.Silver Heights Restaurant was slowly transformed from a coffee shop into a lounge and dining room and bar. The adjoining hardware store on the East side became the dining room. In 1964 Tony bought out his three partners and his three sons Jim, Dave and Allan have grown the business.

    Good food in a comfortable setting. Owners and staff make you feel welcome. Not a large menu but what ever you choose for dinner will be great.

    Pretty good! I really enjoyed the smash burger, a little pricey. I would love to try the Rueben next time. Boozy milkshake was great. Definitely recommend getting that. Staff were great, I think my only suggestion is to change up the fries? They weren’t awful but something a little crisper and saltier would be perfect.

    We have never been to this restaurant, but have heard others talk about their positive experiences. The menu has a wide selection, and the price point is very reasonable. As we were here on a Wednesday we lucked out because wine is half price. Being able to pair our meal with a bottle of J Lohr for $35 was wonderful. Our server was excellent. And I regretfully cannot remember her name. All six of us had something different but each of us thought the meals had complexity to the flavour and were served steaming hot, which we loved. We would recommend this place and we will return.

    Excellent service & waitress was very friendly. Her name is Jenn & she MUST get a raise/bonus, day off with pay & a vacation. She is a very sweet, attentive waitress. I ❤️ this location. Recommend everyone come & hang out @ this location. ❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
