With the same fire that burned in the culinary belly of Ancient Rome, Francesco and Valerio embarked on a dream to open a cozy, authentic Italian restaurant in New York. From homemade pasta, a time-honored tribute to their Nonna's lasagna sheets hanging on a drying rack on Sundays, to wood-fired pizza Romana, a thin-crust pizza, classic recipes like carbonara, cacio e pepe, carciofi fritti, and suppli, a Roman rice ball street food, you can eat like a Roman at Botte without booking an expensive flight to Roma. Then again, traveling to Italy is always a fun adventure. There is a sense of Italian Famiglia, family, and kinship within the Botte group. Chef Antonio Costa opened the first Botte Bar and has returned to enhance his Roman family recipes from generations ago.There is a table for everyone at Botte. Join us at Aunt Jake's Upper East Side for our Pasta Making Class & 3-course pasta menu! The cost is $60 per person for pasta instruction and the prefix meal. We require a $10 per person non-refundable deposit. The entire experience is approximately 2.5 hours. However, we wanted to create Italian food for the “next” generation. The idea was to develop an Italian concept around the customer’s choice of how to eat pasta compared to how the restaurant wanted you to eat it. With that in mind, Aunt Jake’s core mission is to bring high-quality fresh ingredients daily to craft our handmade pasta and sauces health-consciously. The customer can mix and match sauce with shape and create a custom dish of their own.
