Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine adoptó su nombre de una de las ciudades más antiguas del mundo, Estambul, a la que se le conoció alguna vez como Constantinopla a principios del siglo XIII. El nombre "Bosphorous" (Bósforo) se toma del estrecho ubicado en el centro de Estambul y que conecta el mar Negro con el mar Mármara, y Europa con Asia. La decoración de este restaurante se mantiene al mínimo para que la atención se centre en los alimentos. La intención era la de crear una atmósfera auténtica, cálida y moderna mediante los elementos antiguos de Estambul y combinarlos con influencias modernas para presentar una experiencia verdaderamente única.
