Very nice evening at Essence the staff were very lovely, the setting was beautiful, we had the tasting menu the food was very good, the only area we felt was a shame was the base layer in the sauces with each meal was the same notes in spice etc it would have been nice to have had different tastes throughout the menu but was still very good. Tasty Sunday roast - one had beef and the other the veggie option with all of the same trimmings. Third guest had duck breast. Would have preferred it slightly pinker but wasn't asked how they would like it cooked. Large chocolate brownie for dessert.

Lovely food and loved the pianist - loved the complimentary samples too

A delightful venue for an Afternoon Tea in the heart of Tunbridge Wells. Lovely rooms and the tables are not too close together. All staff welcomed us warmly and were helpful during our visit. A wide variety of teas from which to choose and an extremely tasty selection of both savoury and sweet treats. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and we shall certainly be recommending and returning.
