Sushi Sasabune fue elegido como "Best Restaurant Hawaii" y ganó el "Top Food Honors" por Zagat’s Survey Magazine 2011/2012. Es importante hacer notar que no ofrece rollos California y que la mayoría del sushi al estilo omakase (a gusto del chef) no debe sazonarse con salsa de soya ni wasabi. Podrá degustar el sashimi y algunos tipos de sushi artesanal en su estado más puro.
