Superb food in a beautifully presented, warm, cosy pub.

I brought my uni friends here and they all enjoyed the food and the experience. It was lovely, nice destination h area and plenty of room. The waitress was very attentive and we had a very enjoyable lunch.

Oh my goodness we had a beautiful meal, the starters and desserts were exceptional. We chose several from the snack menu. Tempura prawns were outstanding. The mains were really good, only issue was monkfish still had water residue that sadly diluted the Thai sauce, and potatoes oil the venison dish were a tiny bit over salted. This didn’t affect our overall experience and the restaurant was very busy due to valentines night. More staff would have helped reduce waiting times and probably the tiniest faults mentioned. These were not worth mentioning at the time as staff were doing their very best. Mentioning now for management feedback. Will definitely visit again! The starters and desserts were the best we’d ever tried!! All Staff so friendly and welcoming!

A good friend travelled many miles to meet me. I chose the Ivy as I have been going there ever since it opened in Birmingham and eat in the many Ivy restaurants in London and elsewhere. I trust the menu and the wine list. Today the only things that went wrong were a polite request for the table I usually get or the second best table ( in my opinion). Yet having booked several weeks ago both were taken. When were they booked? Secondly the double espresso arrived cold. It was unlike the Ivy to do that. I have known all the previous managers but not the present one. I must introduce myself at my next visit.

WGEN BOOKING I requested the ramp to be put outside as I am disabled and use a very small scooter. The ramp WAS NOT put outside. Luckily that day I was with friends who could go inside to ask. The object was so that I can be independent and use the restaurant with others who need the ramp. Why wasn’t a permanent slope/ramp put in when alterations were in the planning stages. No outdoor drinking area would have been lost. Very disappointed before we even got to the table.
