‘Great British food in a striking riverside mill’A true hidden gem, Sculthorpe Mill is a breath taking pub buried in the heart of the glorious Norfolk countryside built atop the River Wensum. Originally a watermill dating back to 1757, it has been lovingly restored by sisters Siobhan and Caitriona Peyton and they have created a haven for foodies and pub lovers alike, as well as one of the best pub gardens in Norfolk. This is a stunning contemporary dining pub, complete with chic bedrooms and a menu of expertly crafted modern British dishes. Sculthorpe Mill’s seasonal menu changes regularly to make the most of Norfolk’s bountiful produce and all our core ingredients are locally sourced, foraged from land and sea before being passionately turned into award-winning dishes. Come spring and summer, our garden is the ideal pace to enjoy an evening meal alfresco, or even just a crisp glass of rosé as you listen to the rush of the river or the buzzing of bees in the flower garden.

    Food and service very good. Only one issue, the ladies toilets were not up to standard, there was dust on the skirting boards and marks on the doors and walls in the cubicles. In one cubicle there was a loo brush covered in residue of toilet paper. It was also very cold in the ladies toilets. They definitely need a deep clean.

    We visited in March and we were not disappointed super friendly staff the food was absolutely amazing can’t wait to sit in the beautiful garden in the summer months enjoying a delicious non-alcoholic cocktail and some fresh seasonal produce. P.S - splashing out on the oysters is a must I wish I’d ordered 12 for a table of two - Outstanding

    The best |Sunday lunch I have had for a long time - meat - perfect, vegetables and range of vegetables - really good and well presented. Dessert- I had cream brûlée - my favourite, however many places do not serve it with the required sugar crust - The Duck did this and it was wonderful
