Had a fantastic meal at Chet’s, a Thai-Americana gem in Shepherd’s Bush that blends the bold, smoky flavors of Southeast Asia with the nostalgic comforts of a classic American diner. I went for the BBQ Rice Bowl with Grilled Aubergine (£12)—a deliciously smoky, well-balanced dish that really hit the spot. My friend had the Tuna Melt (£16), and wow, this wasn’t your standard sandwich! The tuna larb filling, packed with mint, coriander, red onion, and Kewpie mayo, was next-level. Add melted American cheese and a crispy, golden bread exterior, and it’s easily one of the best tuna melts I’ve tried. The coffee was great, rounding out the meal nicely, though I wasn’t the biggest fan of the crisps on the side—just a personal preference. Overall, a fantastic spot with unique flavors, a cool vibe, and well-executed dishes. Would I return? Absolutely.

Food was good but don’t ask for an after dinner coffee as they close the machine down….around 9pm ! It’s more a boozer than a pub bistro that’s just my humble opinion!!

We had the afternoon tea and the food was plentiful and sublime. You are given the option of tea/coffee and bubbles for an extra fee. We went for the Spice Merchant special tea and that was delicious. Staff were attentive but not loitering just the right balance. We’ll definitely be back again.

Lunchtime buffet was tasty though limited. For only £12, decent food and friendly, speedy service, great value...you cannot go wrong
